30 Days of Thanks - Days 27-30

Day 27 - I am thankful for a van to drive and H's ability to fix anything that goes wrong with it.

Day 28 - I am thankful for warm blankets and hot tea on a cold night.

Day 29 - I am thankful for the numerous Godly men the Lord has brought into my sons' lives and the relationships developing there.

Day 30 - I am thankful for the health of myself and my family. Especially knowing so many people who are suffering physically right now.

Thank You, Lord for loving me and blessing me so much more than I deserve!

Sadness

About a month ago we sent Missy's puppies off with the other breeder who takes them and gets their ears cropped then sells them all for us. It has been a great deal for all involved because we don't have to do the selling and she makes extra money since she deals with all of the post-op care. She has been wonderful to work with. When she took this litter it was very hard on little D. He cried a bit. Today we were informed that our precious Prince John and Red Alert contracted parvo after the surgery and died. None of this was the fault of the other breeder. She tried so hard to save them, and was almost in tears herself telling H. It's so very sad. Even though we never expected to see them again, it hurts.

30 Days of Thanks - Days 21-25

I'm getting behind! Time to catch up.

Day 21 - Thankful for all that we have and the opportunity to minister to those in need. Especially thankful that LV and D decided to fill Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes using their own money. Then we were able to spend the day at the church helping pack the shoe boxes in shipping boxes then load them on the truck.

Day 22 - I am thankful that my good friend, Dawn, invited me to join The Twelve. What a great ministry opportunity!

Day 23 - I am thankful for the van that I have to get me from place to place.

Day 24 - I am thankful for a wonderful time gathering with family. I love that my boys enjoy being with their 2nd cousins. What a blessing to have 4 generations present and fully enjoying one another. And I am thankful for those who stepped out in faith to come to this country as well as the natives who befriended and helped the Pilgrims survive.

Day 25 - I am thankful that my boys and dogs were able to go have a good time at the shop today. Missy and Daisy were able to get in a good run.

30 Days of Thanks - Days 18-20

Day 18 - I am thankful to be a part of a great homeschool co-op. LV and H are both involved in CreationWorks learning all about radio and video production. A major project they are working on is broadcasts for Whitcomb Ministries, and soon they will be working on episodes of Jonathan Park! It is a fantastic opportunity for them as well as the other kids who are involved. LM, D, and I are involved with the actual co-op, which is working on a drama production which will be performed in February. I am really enjoying this group of kids and parents.

Day 19 - I am thankful for the art of photography. I love learning more about it and being able to capture moments of my life that will not happen again. I spent the day at a photography class at another Calvary Chapel with a group of believers who share my interest in photography.

Day 20 - I am thankful for the YES team leaders at church. They love these kids and willing offer their time to lead these children and young adults in using their gifts for the Lord.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 16

I am thankful for the opportunity LV had today to spend the entire day at work with H sanding on his truck. He came home filthy dirty and grinning from ear to ear. After showering he came out dressed in his filthy jeans because he was so proud he wanted everyone at church to see he had been working hard all day.

No worries. He wore clean clothes to church.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 15

I am thankful for my wonderful parents. They have always been there for me during the hard times and the fun times. They are my biggest supporters, letting me dream big, but offering advice when they feel I may be making a foolish decision. My mom has been the one to guide me spiritually and lead me to my Lord and Savior. We have had many heart to heart talks over the years, and she is usually the first one I call with a prayer request (after my hubby). We have laughed and cried (especially Mom when it comes to the crying), and watched many Hallmark movies together. And I can't forget Mom's and Dad's willingness to babysit at a moment's notice on so many occasions.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 14

I am thankful for the privilege of homeschooling my 3 boys. I love learning alongside them and seeing them get excited about something they learned. It is not an easy road. But it is full of blessings.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 13

I am thankful for a night of card games with my family.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 12

Day 12 - Wonderful extended family that are there for us when we need them.
We spent most of the day yesterday with my uncle who put together an orienteering course for LV. It is a requirement for First Class rank for Boy Scouts, and was one of the last things LV needed to do. I called my Uncle Bob and he graciously put this all together so my oldest son could get it done.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 11

11-11-11
Veteran's Day

I am thankful for those who have served our country, and for those currently serving. What a sacrifice so many have made. And so thankful for my family members who served bravely and who were blessed to return home to their families.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 8

I am thankful for our hot tub. It's great to be able to climb in on a cold evening and just relax and visit with my honey. Or to soak sore muscles after a run. Or for the boys to "swim around" in on a freezing cold day. Sometimes we all get in together and just hang out.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 7

I am thankful for the friends the Lord has brought into my life. I have made some wonderful new friends the past couple of years, and have been blessed with some wonderful longterm friendships.

30 Days of Thanks - Day 6

I am thankful for my step-daughter, Morgan. So often she has another perspective on things that cause me to think of things another way, whether I agree with her or not. She has such a big heart to help others and stop their hurting.

*and I can't seem to find a decent picture of her right now*

30 Days of Thanks - Day 4

I am thankful for my second born son, LM. He has such a heart for justice and all things that are morally right. He never ceases to amaze me with the information he absorbs and his desire to learn.

30 Days of Thanks

I'm a little late in starting, so I'll post 3 today.

1. I'm so thankful for my Savior who died for my sins and rose again on the 3rd day. I can't imagine living without Him.

2. I am thankful for my wonderful husband. He works so hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home and school our boys. He has a heart to serve others with his talents. I have seen him grow tremendously in his relationship with the Lord the past 2 years.

3. My first born son, LV. He is growing in his skills as a leader, and has become such a help to me. I love his smiling face, and his love of life.
